A swirling mass of layered echoed vocals and electronic inspired percussion breaths a heavy mass of atmospheric brilliance. I’m not looking for quotes. REALLY. that’s just how i hear it. Yeh? Recommended listening: making a big decision, looking fear in the eyes and raising a royal fuck you.
We Fell To Earth: are Richard File and Wendy Rae Fowler (met when both landed in California’s High Desert. File had replaced DJ Shadow as one-half of the visionary intergalactic outfit UNKLE and was busy collaborating with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme (HEART) and Producer Chris Goss on War Stories. Wendy Rae had played bass for the earthlings? and her voice had graced albums by artists such as QOTSA and Mark Lanegan. It was in Joshua Tree’s mythical studio Rancho de la Luna where the two crossed paths for the first time. Rich explains “I realized immediately after our first encounter that we needed to work together.”
The EP is out early next year, with the album due in Spring. 88dayers LOVE THIS and it’s been a race to see who would break first and post! Some folks at a delightful PR group sent us three tracks and it’s almost impossible to select which to post. This is superb stuff and we’re both seriously excited about the EP and full length album.
