88 days in my veins

tonight it’s about KANYE

how pleasant it was to bump into the charming Mr Hudson, of & The Library, fresh from touring with Kanye West and looking very well for it. We first met Mr H when we put him and his band on in February 2006, it seems a long time ago now and of course we didn’t know then that he’d be hanging with the big players a short way down the line - but we’re very happy for him that success seems to be swinging his way…

Another young gent from the London scene is Alan Pownall, one of that whole Chess Club scene which has spawned Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons and White Lies to name but few.

What unites these two chaps - other than geography, of course? Why it’s their mutual respect for that man Kanye - Mr H being heavily involved in production and touring with the blog-frenetic star, Mr P being fan enough to cover Love Lockdown for us all.

And there’s a bonus - a bonus! - of an extra Flying Lotus remix…we love this guy as per our last post and it’s a great mix.

Mr Hudson - There Will Be Tears

Alan Pownall - Love Lockdown (Kanye West cover)

Kanye West - Love Lockdown (Flying Lotus remix)

Welcome to 88 days in my veins. We usually write from London. Although sometimes we're caught between Brighton, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and Great Malvern.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center. Kurt Vonnegut
