Baja: Another Obelisk
Seriously, I’m so flaming over Animal Collective, I don’t care if the Pitchfork lot and everyone else is wanking themselves to sleep over it. It dulls me and I’m over it. Ok, there are some cool tracks on the record, but it’s not as nice as the last Coldplay album - and everyone was hating on that s.o.a.b.
Here’s something nice and different. Baja is Daniel Vujanic and from a semi-classical background at least in learnings. this track is beautiful as it takes pop elements (the vocals) and mixes them into a neo-classical track with plenty of electronica textures and loops.
