Good work, always.
It has been argued that 88 Days In My Veins has a high propensity towards high fidelity, high definition, high groove disco, and many would agree this to be the case. However, it has been shown in occasional posts by the blog that there is also an element of bias towards lo-fi scuzzy indie rock. Certainly, in posting music by artists on the label Young & Lost Club, the blog - as well as the bloggers - shows itself to be multi faceted and musically diverse. Acts such as Cheatahs possess the melodies which the 88 Days bloggers seem to be so fond of, but surround it with a badly recorded guitar fuzz which they might argue is just what one needs when it’s too hot to walk to the shops. Not only do 88 Days enjoy the music of Cheatahs, but they also show a strong business and communal ethic. In posting links to purchase the artist’s single - in the case we mention it becomes available on 29 June 2009 on a limited 7″ format - 88 Days are encouraging the economy, the music industry as well as a sense of camaraderie between blogs, PRs and record companies.
