88 days in my veins

spending warm summer days indoors

but why do that when you could go to Field Day?

It’s three years in and we all know it’s had its problems in the past - we witnessed some clever geezer ferry about 15 cans of beer from the backstage bar to the friends stuck waiting in seemingly never ending bar queues back in 2007 - but year on year Field Day slowly improves, both in logistics as well as line up. We would be lying if we said we weren’t excited about this year’s August 1st line up - 88 Days favourites Delphic, Aeroplane, The XX, Erol Alkan, First Aid Kit, Errors, Four Tet, Mystery Jets all feature - and assurances from Eat Your Own Ears about levels of sound fill us with hope for a happy day in Victoria Park in lovely east London.

Sign up for your own free happy day in the park with Aeroplane by emailing us at hello[at]88days.co.uk, maybe telling us a mad funny joke to butter us up a bit, because we have two tickets to give away. Obviously if you’re massively unlucky then we’d recommend buying a ticket.

Welcome to 88 days in my veins. We usually write from London. Although sometimes we're caught between Brighton, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and Great Malvern.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center. Kurt Vonnegut
