88 days in my veins

Keith from Manchester

We’ll always have a softspot for Keith, one of the very first bands we ever blogged here just over a year ago. In a myspace post late last night the band decided to call it a day.  Their “difficult second record”, titled ‘Vice and Virtue’ was more of a triumph than ‘difficult and unfocused’ like so many records today. Is it suggestable that the Horrors carbon copied their approach to dark rhythmic Motorik 9 months later to huge acclaim without so much of a nod? Quite so. This remains one of my favorite moments.

They leave us with a final EP of songs recorded up in Salford, Manchester including this track.

Great record, great memories, great musicians…

Welcome to 88 days in my veins. We usually write from London. Although sometimes we're caught between Brighton, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and Great Malvern.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center. Kurt Vonnegut
